Ragdoll cats — what to know before choosing one

The Ragdoll is a large semi-longhaired cat valued for its gentle appearance and close relationship with people. Every cat remains an individual, so breed tendencies should always be considered together with socialization and the temperament of the specific kitten.

Ragdoll — key breed features

The Ragdoll is a large semi-longhaired cat of moderate type. Under TICA classification, Ragdoll (RD) covers blue-eyed pointed cats within the Ragdoll Breed Group.

Temperament and human contact

Ragdolls are often associated with gentleness and sociability, but the breed does not guarantee one personality. Genetics, experience, socialization and the home environment all influence behavior.

Semi-long coat and grooming

Regular gentle brushing supports coat condition. Everyday care also includes nails, ears, dental care and nutrition suited to the cat’s age and individual needs.
